Custom Engine Builds

We will remanufacture your old longblock or one-piece engine.

Longblocks are partial-engines that need replacement.  Longblocks are valve cover through the oil pan, inclusive of the water pump, without fuel injection, exhaust, intake manifold.

The other form of a custom engine is a one-piece-engine.  A one piece engine is exactly how your engine comes out of the car with all the accessories attached to it.  Recent examples of custom engine builds are the 450SL, 190E 2.3-16 Valve, a 1960 300d with a 189 “Gull Wing” Style-6-Cylinder, 300D 2.5 Turbo Diesel, a 450SEL 6.9, 280SL 6-Cylinder, and cast iron 3.0 Turbo Diesels.

Cost varies, but we give quotes for a custom remanufacture, of a longblock, or one piece engine.  Custom remanufactured longblocks can take 3-4 weeks.

One piece engines, museum pieces, and rare engines take longer. When you order a custom longblock/one piece engine from us, we offer to provide replacement parts or exchange assemblies, such as turbo, alternators, water hoses, fuel injection pumps, motor mounts, and other relevant parts, at our cost.  Prices quoted are a net deal; with no additional charges for bad parts on your old longblock or one piece engine.

The procedure is first, drain all the oil and anti-freeze, and second, strap and shrink wrap your old longblock or one piece engine on a pallet.
